Important information about telehealth prescriptions
For patient safety, Northstar Medical Centre Bundaberg requires a face-to-face consultation for the prescribing or renewal of Schedule 8 and certain monitored medicines.
Monitored medicines may include certain strong pain medicines, ADHD medications, benzodiazepines and some medicines used for sleep, anxiety or other conditions under Queensland QScript system.
If you are unsure whether your medication requires a face-to-face appointment, please contact our reception team on 07 4155 5001 before booking.
Routine medications are not automatically affected by this policy. However, your doctor may request a face-to-face consultation where they consider this clinically necessary.
